- 1/2 cup short grain brown rice
- 3 cups of full-fat milk
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1/4 tsp saffron threads

How to make Rice Kheer
- Add the rinsed rice to a container along with 2 cups of water and the saffron threads.
- Let it boil, then cover and lower the heat to a simmer.
- Cook until the rice is soft and most of the liquid has been absorbed for about 30 minutes.
- Stir in the sugar, and cardamom, and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and set aside to cool slightly.
- Transfer the mixture to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Return the blended mixture along with the full-fat milk and stir to mix.
- Keep it on the gas to cook on a low flame.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
- Kheer would be ready in around 40 minutes.
