How to Make Deep Dish Pizza

  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon: Granulated Sugar
  • 2 ¼ teaspoon: Dry Yeast
  • 18 ounces: Flour
  • 2 Teaspoon: Fine Sea Salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon: Tartar Cream
  • 3 tablespoons: Corn Oil and ½ cup of additional oil  
  • plus 3 tablespoons corn oil, plus additional for oiling the bowl 
  • 1 tablespoon: Melted Unsalted Butter
  • 12 Ounces: Sliced or grated Mozzarella
  • 8 ounces: thinly Sliced Pepperoni
  • 28 ounce: Whole San Marzano crushed tomatoes 
  • 1 tablespoon melted unsalted butter 
  • Grated Parmesan(Topping and garnish)

Directions to Make: Deep Dish Pizza

  • Take a bowl and add sugar, yeast, and 11 oz of water to it. Leave all ingredients to rise for 15 minutes at room temperature.
  • Now, take a stand mixer and add flour, salt, and cream of tartar to the stand mixer.
  • After ten minutes, when the yeast rises, put the corn oil with the stand mixer, cream of Tatar, and salt.
  • Now prepare the dough by slowly adding yeast to the stand mixer at the speed of 90 seconds.
  • Now transfer the kneaded dough to a big bowl and knead a little more with your hands. Now keep the dough for 6 hours till it becomes doubled size. Now take the dough and churn a little more with your hand and leave it again for 15 minutes.
  • Now place an oven rack in the center of the oven and heat it to 450 degrees F.
  • Now grease it with some butter and spread the dough on it with your hands. Spread it well from bottom to top.
  • After spreading the dough, spread grated Mozilla cheese on it. If you like cheese, you can add more.
  • Also, cover it with pepperoni. And other ingredients spread boiled crushed tomatoes in it.
  • In the end, sprinkle black pepper powder and salt on it. Your pizza is ready to be baked.
  • Now put it in the oven for 25 minutes until it becomes golden brown. When it is well baked, leave it at room temperature for 5 minutes.
  • Your deep-dish pizza is ready to eat. You can eat it with the some drinks like Wine.

Instructions while Making Deep Dish Pizza 

  • Don’t add too much water while kneading the Flour. The flour or base should not be too tight or too smooth.
  • Don’t try to overcook pizza in the oven it gets burned. If you are thinking that I can bake pizza 10 minutes more than the above-mentioned time.
  • You can add the sausage or the vegetables if you do not like the tomatoes in the toppings. And if you are using the boiled squashed tomatoes drain them properly.
  • Don’t forget to settle the kneaded flour for 6 hours. If you are thinking that 6 hours is too much time. So, you can leave it for 4 hours. But Leaving it for 4 hours is mandatory to set.
  • Don’t forget to grease the oil on the rack of the oven.  If you do not grease the rack or oven bowl properly, your pizza gets stuck.
  • After baking the Pizza remove it from the oven bowl because the it is heated at that time your pizza gets burned.
