Surprising Career Opportunities of Robotics Engineering in India

robotics engineering

Robotics Engineering is the latest field of growth that includes a combination of data analysis, engineering, and computer science. Robots and the machine-based procedures that go with them are designed, built, and tested by professionals in these domains using software and mechanical hardware.

The Czech term “robota,” which denotes forced labour or work, is where the word “robot” originates. Robotics is the name of the technology that powers robots.

Robotics research engineers create robotic systems and investigate efficient manufacturing processes. In the latter half of the 20th century, completely autonomous robots first appeared. The “Three Laws of Robotics” were formulated by science fiction author Isaac Asimov in 1942.

An understanding of mechanical engineering, kinematics and dynamics, electrical and electronics engineering, control systems, and software engineering is necessary for a robotics engineer.

let’s say you’re a high school student are you going to graduate? and You watch some movies or read some science fiction literature. Or even watched a video regarding robots and You are extremely motivated then you decided to become a robotics engineer.

Until this point, everything is really awesome. But then you went online. and I asked google about how to become a robotics engineer? You found this I am not sure about it. If you have watched everyone’s favourite iron man movie. Let’s suppose there is no iron man.

Why we are getting into Robotics Engineering?

There are lots of questions which we generally asked so many times. One question is what can I do to become a robotics engineer.  We all are trying to get into robotics purely because of science fiction. Everyone thinks that’s much better. Because it’s much more fun when you are working in the robotics. But what happens is when we try to go online. We get scared kind of the information like all those big words kinematics pneumatics.

Specifically, for the high school student who has no idea what these things are? So here’s First let’s have clarity on what exactly robotics is?

What is Robotics?

There is still a lot of misunderstanding in that context and once we are on the same page. Then we’ll slowly build up on top of that.

Features in a Robot

Quick Decision making

Decision-making is also known as brains. And the last one in action. If anyone wants to become a robotics engineer. How we perceive the world and that’s exactly what we are trying to teach robots. For example, we humans have eyes to look at the surrounding. Robots have cameras lidars and radars we use our skin to feel the sense of touch robots use.

Perception

We use ears to listen and mouths to talk. Robots use mics to listen and speakers to talk. So, in short, perception is all about working with different types of sensors and cameras. Which can allow robots to understand its surrounding. This is what I would call the brains of robots. Which makes decisions based on the data collected from the sensors from the perception stage.

These decisions can be very simple like yes or no. Or they can be very complex. For example, in the real world, the decision-making process is quite complex like navigating in an uncertain environment. Landing a robot on an unknown planet with high precision drilling.

Also, collecting the samples of the test and so on. That is why we use sophisticated techniques like computer vision and natural language processing. Which involves deep neural networks to develop the best brain possible for the robot. This is generally the favorite part because this is where we get to see the robots performing an action in the real world.

How Can I Start a Career in Robotic Engineering?

Candidates can study for a diploma, a bachelor’s degree, or a master’s degree in this area. You must enroll in a degree program in robotics engineering if you want to become one. Here, we’ve included a few programs in this area:

  • Diploma program, lasting four years:
  • Bachelor’s degree programs in robotics (four years):
  • Robotics Engineering Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)
  • (BE) Robotics Master Courses for the Bachelor of Engineering (two years):
  • Robotics Engineering Master of Technology (M.Tech)
  • Automation & Robotics Master of Technology (M.Tech)
  • Robotics Engineering Master of Engineering (ME)
  • Remote Sensing & Wireless Sensor Networks Master of Technology (M.Tech)

Criteria to be Eligible for Robotic Engineering

After 12

After passing the 12th-grade science exam, you can apply for a bachelor’s degree (B.Tech) in robotics engineering. Candidates must have completed the 12th-grade requirements for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

For Master’s Courses

Students must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or a related field in order to apply for a master’s degree (ME/M.Tech). You can enroll in the M.Tech program if you have a B.Tech or BE in electronics, mechanical, electrical, computer science and engineering, instrumentation & control engineering, or electrical and electronics engineering.

Jobs & Careers in Robotics Engineering

For those seeking employment, this field offers a wide variety of chances.

You can work in manufacturing, maintenance, nuclear power plant research, and many other fields after completing a degree program in this subject. Due to technological advancements, robotics technology is now employed for a variety of purposes, including oil exploration, power plant maintenance, vehicle manufacturing, and space research.

digital engineering

Both in India and other nations, there are many career prospects for robotics engineers. Candidates with an M.Tech in Robotics can look for employment chances with space research organizations like ISRO as well as businesses that produce microchips.

They could work for the makers of robots. Robotics test engineers and automation system engineers are other names for robot engineers who work for robot manufacturers.

Additionally, you can hire to build robots for a variety of industries, including food packaging, the manufacture of appliances and electronics, etc. Additionally, you might choose to work as a teacher at several public and private universities.

Conclusion

So, This is all about robotics in a nutshell. and this is all you need to know if you are just getting started now as we are all on the same page the next question you might be struggling with is how shall we get started with it so that’s something which we are going to cover in the next video you know just to allow your brain to digest this information nicely.

I would encourage you to go through this information again and again and see which aspect of these three stages fascinates you the most and that can be your starting point don’t worry too much about it because you might not like it after a certain amount of time but that’s absolutely fine.

the idea here is to allow you to explore all three aspects of robotics and find that one sweet spot to which you would like to dedicate all of your time that’s it and feel free to let me know if this level of explanation is simple enough or shall I dial it down more or is it too simple shall I make it a little bit complex we will be going into the details in upcoming videos but yeah just let me know in the comment section with that being said I’ll see you guys in the next video till then just keep doing whatever you’re doing and stay safe take care.
